Amy Irvine McHarg is a sixth-generation Utahn who now resides on Wright's Mesa with her husband, daughter, and a large menagerie that includes a horse, pack goats, unruly canines, and a cat named Dude who likes to go for hikes. Her memoir, Trespass: Living at the Edge of the Promised Land, won the 2009 Orion Book Award and the Colorado Book of the Year in non-fiction. Amy's work has also appeared in several anthologies, Climbing Magazine, and the Patagonia catalog.
Her new work-in-progress, Terra Firma, is an exploration of Archetypal Dreamwork and life in the West.
